Empowering Change: Listen, Support, Transform
With over 16 years of clinical mental health experience, I have had the privilege of working with children, adolescents, adults and families across a broad spectrum of settings -community mental health, educational, primary care and private practice. Prior to this, I spent two decades in pastoral ministry, enriching my understanding of human emotions and relationships.
I earned my Master's degree in Counseling Psychology from Northwestern Oklahoma State University in 2008. Following this, I relocated to the beautiful region of Northwest New Mexico and Southwest Colorado, where I have been actively involved in various professional roles. These include:
* Administrator of a Residential Treatment Center
* Clinical Administrator for Children's Behavioral Health
* Student Assistance Coordinator
* Visiting Professor
* Private Practice Therapist
* Outpatient Clinical Manager
* Health Services Coordinator
* Integrated Behavioral Health provider
I have specialized in working with high-risk, high-needs children and adolescents, with a primary focus on trauma, anxiety and depression. Additionally, I proudly serve as a Certified First Responder Counselor.
My approach to counseling is fundamentally collaborative and skill-based. I believe that people are not "broken" and in need of "fixing," but rather, they are on a path to self-improvement, seeking to cultivate strength and health in thier lives. As a therapist, I serve as a guide and companion on this alternative life journey, chosen by you, and tailored to your needs.
You've already taken the first step on your new journey by reaching out for help. I look forward to accompanying you on this path, offering support and guidance, as you navigate towards a strong, healthier you!
